Burnley Vs Manchester City EPL 28 April Preview

Manchester City make a trip to Burnley on Sunday knowing fully well that they are only three games away from effectively defending their Premier League crown.

The Clarets currently occupy 15th place on the Premier League standings and are now assured of top-flight football next season considering 18th-place Cardiff City goal difference.

The introduction of Tom Heaton between the sticks and promotion of McNeil to first team football have seen Sean Dyche’s team experience a better second half of the season than they did in the first.

Most recently, Burnley have picked up 10 points from the last 12 on offer. That said, they are in danger of finishing off the season with poor results with their remaining games coming against Manchester City, Everton and Arsenal.

The Citizens have known as early as March that the title is theirs to lose. Since their win against Liverpool, Manchester City have recovered from their slip which took them seven points adrift of Liverpool and are now one point clear off the Reds ahead of the weekend fixtures.

Following a 5-0 mauling of Huddersfield by Liverpool, the pressure is once again rested on the shoulders of Pep Guardiola and his men.

The Clarets frustrated the Citizens in the first half of the season, forcing the league leaders to a 1-1 draw and would most likely setup in the same fashion.

Manchester City have no margin for errors at the moment and would have to win all their remaining games to ensure they are crowned Premier League winners.
