Chelsea Agree £88million Bid From Real Madrid For Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard would soon be making his way to the Santiago Bernabeu after a deal was struck between Chelsea and Real Madrid.

According to Goal, Chelsea have accepted a bid of £88 million for the Belgian International from Real Madrid though the price may later rise to £124 million with add-ons.

The report confirms that both clubs have arrived at a compromise on Hazard’s price following talks between Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia and Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sánchez in London on Monday which will see the 28 year old now make a move to the Bernabeu, something he had previously described as a dream move.

The Blues midfielder is set for a significant rise in his wages after repeatedly turning down multiple contract offers at the Stamford Bridge and could be officially unveiled sometime next week after he makes a return from Internarional duty with Belgium.

The former Lille man will now join recent Madrid signings, Luka Jovic and Eder Militao under the tutelage of Zinedine Zidane who Hazard has always described as his idol.

The Belgian has now drawn the curtain on a successful eight year stint at Chelsea where he won six major trophies including an Europa league trophy.

If the deal work out, he would become the club’s record sale after 12 months of negotiations regarding his future.

The Spanish giants had shown their interest in signing the 28 year old last summer but a deal couldn’t be reached despite the player hinting at a move away from West London.

The London Blues rejected Madrid’s opening offer for the Belgian in April but have finally agreed a deal for the Chelsea playmaker. Chelsea were cornered into a position where they had to sell their playmaker before he left on a free transfer in the summer of 2020.
