Chelsea Vs Burnley EPL 22 April Preview

Chelsea race for a top-four finish continues when they take on Burnley at the Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.

The London Blues will be seeking to book a place in next season’s Champions League via a top four finish despite holding on to the possibilities of doing so by claiming the Europa League title.

Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri’s debut season can still very much end on a high note with the club on course for a Champions League next spot and simultaneously finding a solid place in the last four of the Europa league competition.

Chelsea have pulled up an impressive chest of wins since the head of Sarri was last called for. Four wins from five games has helped keep the Italian gaffer’s job, though the manager still complains and groans about the inability of his side to close out games easily.

The Blues have been seen to offer no real threats in the absence of Eden Hazard.

However, that fact might not matter much to Chelsea fans if the London club record a routine win over Burnley and keep their focus on a top-four league finish.

Burnley

Burnley have now won three matches in a row, one of which came against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Clarets are now assured of Premier League football come next season.

Although, that might not be a welcoming news for a side who finished seventh on the log last time out, they would have their latest winning run to thank for not being in the drop zone by now.

Indeed, this is only the second time that Burnley has won three straight games this season. The talk of European football is long gone but Sean Dyche and his men will be willing to string up as many wins as possible before the end of the campaign.
