Chelsea Vs Huddersfield EPL 2 February Preview

Chelsea will be looking to redeem themselves after a humiliating loss at the Vitality Stadium to Bournemouth when they host Huddersfield at the Stamford Bridge. After the match against the Cherries, Maurrizio Sarri was said to have had a 45minutes talk with the players, let’s hope that the talk did have some impact on the team.

Chelsea

Chelsea are growing weary and increasingly frustrated with Sarri style of play as they have posed no real threats in the final third on most occasions, a problem Gonzalo Higuain was brought in. However, the Argentine couldn’t produce much in their last fixture and later came off for French man, Olivier Giroud.

Sarri famed possession style which has seen the team produce lots and lots of passes haven’t been particularly impressive in front of goal. Case in point, the match against the Cherries had the London Blues make a total of 405 passes with only a meagre 5 shots on goal.

However, the Italian gaffer would be hopeful he could stir up his players to achieve the expected when they face Huddersfield

Huddersfield

New manager, Jan Stelwert couldn’t help the team much for only his first game in charge as Huddersfield fell 1-0 at home to a Richarlison-inspired Everton.

The 20th-placed side – out of a possible 20 – would need some sort of miracle to remain in the top flight come next season. Stelwert wouldn’t count himself lucky after inheriting such a bad side in a pretty much terrible position on the log from David Wagner.

That said, he would be seeking to make a statement and what better way to make that than against 5th-placed Chelsea who recently lost their position on the log to Arsenal with lesser goals scored than the North London Club
