Chloroquine Trends As It Cures Coronavirus

An antimalaria drug, Chloroquine now the talk of the town in Nigeria after scientists discover that it has a certain curative effect on the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Wikipedia defines Chloroquine as a medication used to prevent and to treat malaria in areas where malaria is known to be sensitive to its effects.

The CONVID-19 has leftover 1,500 people dead with Wuhan, the epicenter of the disease having a larger share of the casualty.

The experts had suggested the drug be included in the next version of the treatment guidelines and applied in wider clinical trials as soon as possible.

Sun Yanrong, deputy head of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) at a press conference said that Chloroquine Phosphate, which has been used for more than 70 years, was selected from tens of thousands of existing drugs after multiple rounds of screening.
