COVID-19 Lockdown: Naira Marley, Gbadamosi Settle Out of Court

Popular musician, Azeez Fashola, AKA Naira Marley, and a politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi have agreed with the Lagos state government to settle out of court.

Gbadamosi’ wife was part of those arraigned. The trio was part of the gusts that attended popular Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele-Bello’s husband birth at Amen Estate, which contravened the lockdown order issued in the state to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

iDONSABI reports that Funke Akindele-Bello alongside her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello had been sentenced to two weeks of community service for the act.

Charged before the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba for attending the crowded house party, Naira Marley, Gbadamosi and his wife were charged by the government after convicting Akindel-Bello.

Journalist were barred from covering the proceeding. This could be what was witnessed during the trial of the Nollywood producer where social distancing were not observed.

However, at the court premises, fellow Nigerian musician, Small Doctor and other fans of Naira Marley shunned the stay-at-home order by in solidarity with the singer.
