COVID-19 Nigeria Update Today

Good day. Here is an update on COVID-19 in Nigeria.

As the figures of actives cases continue to be on the rise, Nigeria now has 493 cases as at today.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) released the biggest number of daily toll yesterday with 51 cases. Out of which 32 is in Lagos, 6 in Kano, 5 in Kwara, 2 in FCT, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Katsina, 1 in Ogun, and in Ekiti.

This now bring the number of cases in Lagos, the epicentre to  to 283, FCT- 69, Kano- 27, Osun- 20, Edo- 15, Oyo- 15, Ogun- 10, Kwara- 9, Katsina- 9, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 6, Delta- 4, Ondo- 3, Ekiti- 3, Enugu- 2, Rivers-2, Niger- 2, Benue- 1, and Anambra with one respectively 1.

Abba Kyari buried

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari who is one of the victims of COVID-19 has been buried according to Islamic rites at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.

Kyari gave up the ghost last night after a long battle with the virus after his sample came out positives over three weeks ago.

The interment took place from about 11:20 am. Islamic prayers were later held, led by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami.
