Crystal Palace School Leicester And Run Down Clock For Claude Puel As Manager

Crystal Palace ran out easy winners over Leicester to heap up pressure on Foxes gaffer, Claude Puel. This loss for Leicester means that they have suffered seven defeats in their last nine games and could soon shove Puel out the door at the King Power Stadium.

Speaking for Puel, Leicester had some chances in the first forty-five which they failed to convert. He will be scratching his head at the thought of his team’s run of form as of late.

Leicester dominated the first half and had a penalty appeal when Harvey Barnes appeared to be fouled by James Tomkins but the referee, Anthony Taylor just waved it off.

The Foxes once again fell victim of a referee decision after Ricardo Perreira was penalized for a foul on Jeffrey Schlupp. McArthur took the freekick before Michy Batshuayi guided the ball home to record his first goal for the Eagles.

Leicester were later rewarded for all their struggles and hardwork when Jonny Evans turned in a Barnes’ miscued shot.

The equalizer didn’t last for long as seven minutes later Wilfred Zaha who was left unmarked volleyed the ball into the far post after receiving an inch-perfect cross from James McArthur.

The Eagles got their third of the night when Schlupp was brought down by Evans with penalty duties falling to Captain Luka Milivojevic who was always going to convert from the spot.

Zaha then got his second of the night and Crystal Palace’s fourth when he was sent through on goal by Jordan Ayew before shooting a fierce shot past the hold of Kasper Schmeichel.

Puel had this to say after the match:

“It’s a difficult moment and period for my team but it’s more important that they continue in this way. I understand the fans’ feelings and disappointment. We need to show this character against Brighton on Tuesday and it’s a good thing to be playing again so soon.”

Leicester City 1-4 Crystal Palace it ended.
