Daniel James Due For Medical At Manchester United Ahead Of £15m Switch

Daniel James, Swansea City attacker is expected at Carrington road on Thursday to complete a physical examination ahead of a proposed switch to Manchester United.

James is expected to arrive at the Red devils’ training base to undergo a medical ahead of a £15 million switch to the red half of Manchester.

Reports suggest that the Welsh should have completed a move to United in May but the 21 year old withdrew from the National training squad to spend time with his family following the death of his father, Kevan at age 60.

While Daniel James gears up for his side’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Croatia on Saturday, the Welshman will be at Manchester to complete his medicals.

Leeds United were the front runners to sign the Swansea attacker but a break down in the deal piqued Manchester United’s interest in the pacey, young attacker.

Daniel James has registered five goals in 38 appearances for Swansea last term since he broke into the first team last term.

The wide man’s searing pace and hunger for goal caught the eyes of Manchester United and while he might not be considered as a first team player at the moment, his signing signals a shift in focus for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who seems like he’s on his way to creating a more energetic and dynamic attacking force.

James has spent his last five years with the Swans after coming in from Hull City at the age of 16.

United legend, Ryan Giggs has showered praise on the young prospect after a wonderful performance in England’s game against Slovakia stating that the 21 year old could cause real upset with his pace.

He also added that the winger could play on both flanks and that he was fantastic and intelligent overall.
