Davido And Sauti Sol Among Others Billed To Perform At Essence Festival 2019

The African artistes and stars to be headlining the 2019 ESSENCE Festival have been revealed and Nigerian star, Davido is set to perform at that event.

Davido is among a set of performers including Nasty C, Vanessa Mdee and Sauti Sol billed to perform at the 25th anniversary of the annual festival to be held in Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana.

The 3-day celebration has gained the reputation for being a party to bring together Africans in the diaspora to celebrate culture and art.

According to Essence:

“In celebration of 25 years of moving the culture forward, we’re bringing you unforgettable performances from over 80 of the biggest names in music for a weekend of festivities that you and your squad will be talking about for years to come.”

That said, Davido is yet to make any official statements or post in that regard.

Essence Festival since its inception in 1995 has evolved into the world’s No. 1 showcase of urban contemporary music and has been regularly held at the Superdome since 2006.

Now the festival is turning 25 and its co-founder Ed Lewis and festival impresario, George Wein have joined hands to make this one a world success with a long list of stars and music artistes headlining the show.

Sauti Sol, Kenyan Supergroup is all set to take the stage with the festival hyped to be a celebration of black culture and art, featuring the best acts and artistes from across the globe

Vanessa Mdee who is also known as Cash Madame is listed as one of the headliners of the show and she couldn’t just hide her excitement as she took to Instagram to share the news.

In her picture post, she also revealed a host of others to be not just gracing the occasion but also performing at the festival.
