De Ligt Moves To Turin Ahead Of Juventus Move

Matthijs de Ligt, one of the summer’s biggest transfer prospects has arrived in Turin, Italy to join Juventus from Ajax.

The 19 year old centre-back is yet to undergo a medical fitness test or finalise a deal with the Biaconeris but has now landed at the Turin-Caselle Airport.

Juventus shared a video of him disembarking from a private jet as he prepares to secure a purported move of £75 million to the Turin giants, a move that will see him earn €12 million per season.

The Biaconeris offer convinced the Dutch youngster to favour a move to Turin over a move to Barcelona and some of the biggest clubs in Europe willing to sign him.

“Hello ‘Bianconeri’, I’m Matthijs and I am very happy to be here,” said the 19 year old on a video posted on Juventus’ official website.

Just days after Manchester United reportedly splashed a record fee of €90 million for the signing of Harry Maguire, Juventus are looking to part ways with a mouthwatering €75 million for De Ligt who captained his Ajax side to a Champions League semifinal last time out.

De Ligt has now arrived in Juventus ahead of a medical.

The Dutch star made his debut for Eredivise giants, Ajax in 2016 and has since then lifted the Eredivise title and Dutch cup.

He also played a key part for the Ajax side who lost to Manchester United in the 2017 Europa Lesgue final.

The youngster had an exceptionally brilliant time last season, helping his team to the Eredivise titles the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League where they fell to a spectacular comeback staged by North London club, Tottenham.

His exploits attracted top clubs all over Europe including he likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Juventus.

It is now however clear that amidst all these interests, De Ligt prefers to pitch his tent with Juventus.
