– ACPN in a latest statement has denied endorsing Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa in the Delta 2019 Election
– This comes after a report made it known that the ACPN candidate, Chief Paul Isamade had step down
According to an earlier report, it disclosed that the Governorship candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria ACPN in Delta state, Chief Paul Isamade had stepped down for the current Gov. of the state, Ifeanyi Okowa ahead of the 2019 Governorship election in the state.
However, the ACPN in a new report has come out to deny the statement.
The Governorship candidate of the ACPN, Chief Paul Isamade, who also doubles as the secretary of the party disclosed in Abuja today his commitment of winning the election in the state.
He also urged the members of the public to disregard all other insinuations that he had forgone his political ambition to endorse the incumbent Governor of the state, Ifeanyi Okowa.
Chief Paul Isamade in his statement made it known that the party will punish any of its member engaged in anti-party schemes.
Below is an extract of the statement released by the ACPN, it read,
“Allied Congress Party of Nigeria ACPN wishes to inform the general public that the party in Delta state has not and will not endorse any other candidate in the March 9th governorship election in Delta state because the party is contesting in the said election.”
“The general public should disregard any publication that includes the name of the party in respect of the above subject. The party also warns all its members in the state to work for the success of the party and her candidate only.”
The ACPN dropped it Presidential candidate, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili few days to the 2019 Presidential elections and went ahead to endorse Pres. Muhammadu Buhari.
