Dino Melaye, Adeyanju React to Tribunal Judgement
The court judgement which nullified the election of the lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye has become a talking point by social media users especially Twitter.
Melaye’s election was nullified by a three-man panel led by Justice A. O. Chijioke
In a unanimous judgment on Friday, the tribunal acceded to the prayer of the plaintiff, Smart Adeyemi who called for fresh election into the senatorial axis on three grounds of irregularities, over voting and non-compliance with the electoral acts.

Reaction to the judgement via his Twitter handle, the controversial lawmaker said no cause for alarm.
“On Tribunal judgement. No cause 4 alarm at all. Even if it went my way they will still go to the Appeal Court. Our mandate can not be taken. We will get judgment at the Appeal Court. There will be fresh election in Kogi West bc I will be Governor. For my Senate mandate no shaking,” he wrote.

Also speaking on the court judgement, Deji Adeyanju, a human right activist express worry over the current judiciary.
“The current judiciary scares me. Reading about the annulment of Dino Melaye’s election that everyone in my Senatorial District knows was a straight win where almost all votes recorded for Smart Adeyemi was rigged, gives me reason to worry,” he wrote.
