DJ Lambo Quits Choc Boi Nation

According to Pulse Ng.DJ Lambo has stepped down from her position as President of Choc Boi Nation. Added to that, she has quit the record label after the expiration of her contract.

While this may sound surprising to a few, some others have seen it coming. The disc jockey star was rumoured to have a fall out with MI two years ago.

MI performed at the Star Music Trek Concert held in Imo’s Capital, Owerri. The popular rapper in his usual style would work with his Official DJ. However, the DJ was obviously absent. Instead, MI came with DJ Wavos, a popular foreign DJ who had worked with other Nigerian artistes.

Meanwhile, Lambo was performing in two other events – Lagos Party Animals and events for Blackhouse media and Hip TV. This fueled rumours that DJ Lambo was on her way out of the label and that the label was probably trying out someone else on the turntable to take her place.

These rumours were debunked in good time and rendered even useless when Lambo was named President of the record label. The disc jockey star remains the first and only DJ of Choic Boy Nation, the label under the existent Chocolate City.

Just two years ago, Chocolate City branched out to launch a clothing line called ‘Control the economy’. The clothing line has a series of unisex sweatshirts customized with the name CBN Apparel written on it.

The clothing line is borne from a collaborative effort between Choc Boi Nation and CEO of Jay Osbie, Isola Osobu. At the launching ceremony, Isola-Osobu said he was delighted to be in partnership with the record label. He declared them masters of hip-hop stating that they were on their way to breaking boundaries.

He commended the theme of the clothing line saying that the idea behind it was hopeful and inspirational. The idea behind the theme is that despite the recession in Nigeria, citizens can individually influence the economy positively.
