DSS Manufacturing Stupidity By Detaining Sowore for Another 45 Days – Adeyanju

Human right activists, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to a court judgment that ruled that ordered that the presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), in the last general elections, Omoyele Sowore be detained for another 45 days after being picked up by the Department of State Services (DSS) last week over a planned protest tagged #RevolutionNow.

The Federal High Court Abuja granted permission to detain Sowore on an ex parte application by the State Security Service (SSS). Justice Taiwo Taiwo held that the detention order would be renewable after the expiration of the first 45 days on September 21.

Adeyanju who is the Convener, Concerned Nigerians (CCN) took to his Twitter page to react to the court judgement.

“How can a Court grant an order for Sowore to be detained for 45 days for a so-called investigation? The DSS as usual arrested Sowore without any evidence & are now looking for ways of manufacturing stupidity. #FreeSowore,” he tweeted.
