Eddie Murphy To Repeat Role In Coming To America 2
Eddie Murphy is set to play a vital role in the upcoming movie, Coming to America 2. The black American is to feature as Prince Akeem as he did in the original made in the year 1988.
Lots and lots of good films came out last year with names like Wakanda from the Black Panther movie standing tall amongst others. This time, let’s take you on a voyage to Zamunda. What a crop of funny names right? Right. Only this time, it is from a comedy classic rather than an action movie from the stables of Marvel Inc.
The crew for the comedy movie will be headed by Craig Brewer who just led an amazing job for the movie, Dolemite. The movie featured notables such as Keegan-Michael Key, Chris Rock, T.I, Craig Robinson and Wesley Snipes.

The original film story line was the story of Prince Akeem, an African Prince who left his comfort zone and African heritage in search of a deserving queen. His father, the King of Zamunda held a festival which was to feature possible brides but the Prince tagged them gold diggers.
He went on to America posing as a pauper squatting in a room full of rats and other rodents. He finally got a wife with whom he returned to his home country to take his place just beside his father.
Coming to America 2 will see Prince Akeem return to America in search of a long lost son, his unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda. The film expects to feature members of the original’s crew. People like James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall are expected to make a return behind the screens.
Some movies on Murphy’s bucket list include: a Boomerang TV, Beverley Hills Cop 4. Just last year, the actor welcomed another child (Max Charles Murphy), his 10th.
