Few hours after his disqualification from contesting the coming All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election in Edo State, human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has advised governor Godwin Obaseki to consult Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike and his Akwa Ibom counterpart, Udom Emmanuel on how he can deal with the stubborn godfathers within the ruling party.

Obaseki, who had earlier doubted he would be certified to contest for the number position in the state again under the party, which he won the first term, had said he won’t be appealing ‘unjust’ disqualification blaming the development on the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomohle, whom he has not had a good relationship with few months to the poll.

With his closes rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu certified to contest after he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who has the support of Oshimohle could get the party ticket.

Reacting to the development via his Twitter page, Adeyanju advised Obaseki to deal with the APC godfathers as Wike and Udom dealt with them in their respective states.
