Edo Local Govt Police Orderly Shot To Death By Unknown Gunmen

Unknown gunmen in Edo State have killed a policeman known to be Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie, who was also the police orderly to the Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha local government area, Dr. Eric Osayande in the state.

Late Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie was shot and killed this past weekend, on Saturday precisely, at Nomayo Junction which is along Upper Sokponba road in Ikpoba-Okha local government of Edo state.

It was however reported as gathered by iDONSABI that the death of Late Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie may have been in connection to the on-going cult war in Benin City, Edo State, in which several persons have been killed in different parts of the State in the past weeks.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, identified to be Hakeem Odumosun, who confirmed the killing of Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie stated that he has visited the family of the late policeman, stressing that efforts are being made in order to apprehend the killers of late Monday Ehigie.

The sudden death of Sergeant Oisa Monday Ehigie is happening two days after gunmen abducted a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State identified as Mr Michael Ohio – Ezomon and also shot dead his police orderly.

Micheal Ohio Ezomon is known to be a former member of the state House of Assembly and represented the Owan West Constituency between the years 2011 and 2015. However, he is presently seeking a return to the House in the coming elections.

In addition, the abductors are yet to demand a ransom of money or any other thing.
