EFCC Apprehends Famous Yahoo Boy Alhaji Ugly Rex And 2 Others For Internet Fraud

Members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Port Harcourt Zonal Office, have nabbed three suspected internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys) in a catch operation.

The anti-graft agency released a statement confirming that the suspects identified to be Adugwe Rex Odinaka also known as Alhaji Ugly Rex, Igwe Prince Chukwuebuka also known as Trad Marley and also Ifeanyi Nicholas Chukwulenwa. The anti-graft agency statement read that the suspects were arrested in Omoku, Rivers state.

There were series of investigations carried out prior and after the arrest of the three suspected internet fraudsters. However, preliminary investigations which were carried out arrived at the decision that Igwe Prince Chukwuebuka popularly called Trad Marley and also Ifeanyi Nicholas Chukwulenwa were into dating scams and had previously defrauded three (3) United States citizens in the past.

In addition, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFF), Adugwe Rex Odinaka popularly known as Alhaji Ugly Rex participated in laundering of fraudulently obtained gift cards, with iTunes and Amazon cards specifically mentioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). It was also derived that the three suspected internet fraudsters are operating in a syndicate.

Adugwe Rex Odinaka famously known as Alhaji Ugly Rex is one of the most popular Internet fraudster (Yahoo Boy) we have in Nigeria especially in his native Rivers state where he was finally nabbed.

Some other members of the syndicate are now being tracked and followed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission members. Furthermore, the funds fraudulently gotten from the scam are also currently being traced.

The EFCC members also stated that the three suspected internet fraudsters would soon be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law for their crime. A lot of Nigerians have taken to social media to express their satisfaction at the arrest of the three suspected internet fraudsters.
