EFCC Apprehends Six Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Lagos Zonal office, has apprehended six members of a syndicate of Internet fraudsters at the Iyana Era, Badagry area of Lagos State on Wednesday, February 12th.

The suspects identified respectively as Samuel Ndubisi, Samuel Gaza Tanko, Efe Godwin Okoye, Onyekachi Emanuel, Sari Isaac Felix and Ahmed Quadri, were apprehended during a sting operation carried out by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on February 13, 2019.

The list of items which were recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters at the point of arrest include laptops and mobile phones respectively.

The six suspected internet fraudsters will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Recall that in the past few days and weeks also, there have been reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is going about and raiding areas where suspected internet fraudsters may be and they have been apprehending some as well.

It is quite a welcome development on the part of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that they have been able to apprehend suspected internet fraudsters in the country.

The arrests of the suspected internet fraudsters will also serve as a deterrent to other people who are with the opinion or mindset of going to involve themselves in internet crime.
