Thugs suspected to be from the camp of APC attacked an EFCC official in Benue state on Saturday afternoon, the day set aside for the Governorship elections in Nigeria.
Recall that members of the antigraft agency on Saturday morning, 9th March 2019. intercepted bundles of money owned by the APC governorship candidate identified as Emmanuel Jimeh.

According to the antigraft agency, the money was meant for vote buying so that APC will emerge as winner of the elections in the state.
Recall also that yesterday, March 9th 2019, was the day of Governorship elections across the country in which major states participated in.
EFCC has publicly come out to release a statement. The statement can be found below.
”Officer of the EFCC, in Makurdi zonal office, wounded by thugs of the APC gubernatorial candidate. Currently undergoing treatment at the Police Cottage Hospital, Makurdi, Benue State”
