Everton Vs Liverpool EPL 03 March Preview

Liverpool will face a tough test against fellow Merseysiders in what promises to be a fierce encounter off the back of a 5-0 thumping over the Hornets.

Everton

The Toffees may not be where they thought to be at the beginning on the season, but they are now only six points off seventh placed Wolverhampton Wanderers and are just coming off the back of a 3-0 win against Cardiff City.

That said, should results go against them, they could find themselves in 12th-place. Back to back league wins since they last did in October could build the much needed momentum to place them in the race for European football come next season.

Everton have been vulnerable from setpiece positions and would need to tighten up in that department to avoid a mauling by Liverpool.

Liverpool

Table toppers and main challengers for the league are what you find in this Liverpool team. The ‘Bottlers’ could also be a befitting name for Klopp’s side if they concede defeat and Manchester City on the other hand claim a victory against the Cherries considering the fact that they would have blown off a seven-point lead they had over second-placed Man City at the start of the year.

Goalless draws against Bayern Munich and a Manchester United plagued by injuries have mounted lots of pressure on the Reds.

However, a 5-0 annihilation of Watford have shown that they are full of character and are capable of lifting the league title come June.

Liverpool at this point know that anything less than three points could make them ultimately bottle the league and they would be willing to do anything to avoid that.
