COVID-19: Expect No Patriotism from Abandoned Nigerians in Diaspora – Shehu Sani
Member of the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has said that the government should not expect patriotism from any Nigerians abroad.
This is coming from the information of the ministry of foreign affairs which said that Nigerians who wanted to come home from abroad will have to pay for their flight and quarantine.

Reacting to this, Sani, who is a critic of the ruling government said: “If distressed Nigerians in diaspora have to pay to be evacuated & have to pay for Isolation centres when back home, then we should formally paste a Cheque Book on our National flag and affix a Banknote to our Coat of Arms. Expect not patriotism from a man abandoned by his country.

Also reacting to the claim of Daar Communication owner, Raymond Dokpesi, who said him alongside his family members tested positive of the dreaded virus but later recovered, were treated with malaria drugs, Sani wonders why Nigeria is succeeding ahead of advanced countries in having recovered patients.
