Just two days ago, he was on the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Several twitter hashtags mocked his relationship with Simi claiming it was a fluke and that he was played all along.

This time, his fans have thronged onto Twitter singing his praises. It is not unrelated to what the lyrics of his song teach. Falz, son to Human rights activist has sung his father’s words. Let’s explain this.

Just as the songs of the Afrobeat King remains evergreen in our hearts. So also will those of Falz in several years to come. Talk speaks about several ills in the society, ranging from poor leadership in the country to that in church. Infact, a phrase in the song reads thus:

Recall that the sensational music artiste had also released a similar song last year. ‘This is Nigeria’ was released on Independence Day sharing similarities with Danny Glover’s ‘This is America’. It employed the American’s style in telling the Nigerian story. It talks about corruption, insecurity, kidnapping and the vices suffered in the society.
