Fashola is Trending on Twitter… This is Why
Former Governor of Lagos State, Raji Babatunde Fashola has become a talking point on social media, Twitter.
Fashola, who is the present Minister of Works and Housing is getting commendations for not banning the popular Molue transport buses before introducing Bus Rapid Transport (BRT).
The commendation is coming on the heel of the ban of Okada, motorcycles, and three-wheelers popularly known as Keke NAPEP by the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration.

The present Lagos state government has been getting knocks over the ban that has left many passengers stranded in the bus stop while many got late to their respective offices.
Fashola during his time had introduced the BRT, which systematically restricted the popular Molue buses to some restricted areas.

Did Fashola not have similar problem with the so called Tinubu too, after his first tenure, but “smartly” wriggled his way out of it, and got the 2nd term ticket. Till today, Fashola and Tinubu are “politically” not in good terms.

Fashola did alot in Lagos from making laws that permits trailers to use roads from 9pm – 6am to introducing BRT buses and making Lagos state cleaner. Fashola is still the best Governor.

I don’t remember Raji Fashola banning molues. If he did at all, the BRT buses were already in town for months before the ban. He elevated the state’s transport CAPACITY, provided the people another OPPORTUNITY and the MOTIVATION to move on from molues was naturally AUTOMATIC!
