- Olayinka dares Osinbajo to pass through unsecured zones without his security.
- Reno Omokri lampoons him for lying.
In his reaction to some backlashes his principal had gotten over the comment, Laolu Akande, the spokesman of the vice president made clarifications on the statement Osinbajo made in New York on Nigeria’s security situation.
While noting that his boss was quoted out of context as he never said that kidnapping in Nigeria was exaggerated, but is not a new phenomenon.
“Kidnapping in Nigeria is exaggerated and not entirely new.”
He said that nowhere in the Vice President’s remarks at the town hall meeting with the Nigerian community did he use the word “exaggerated”; not even by implication.
Reacting to the Osinbajo’s comment via his Facebook page, Olayinka said : “Our LYING Pastor @ProfOsinbajo must travel on Abuja – Kaduna, Ibadan – Akure – Owo – Ikare, Ado – Ikere, Ado – Iwaraja, Kabba – Okene – Lokoja and Kabba – Obajana – Lokoja roads without SECURITY AIDES when he returns from that USA where he went to LIE. If you agree, say YEAH.”

Also reacting to the statement, Reno Omokri, a critic of the ruling government said the vice president’s lies are driving people away from the church.
“Dear Pastor Prof. Osinbajo, Can you see what your lies are doing? It is undermining the genuine faith of true believers. Your lies are driving people from The Church. As an ordained pastor, you are meant to lead people to Jesus, not away from The Saviour.
“Dear Nigerians, Prof. Osinbajo is meeting US VP , Mike Pence. If you or your loved ones have ever been kidnapped, RETWEET and use this hashtag (#OsinbajoStopLying) to tell about your experiences, so Osinbajo does not deceive Mr. Pence that kidnapping in Nigeria is ‘dramatised’.
