Femi Branch Accuses Government Of Negligence As Trucks Return To Eko Bridge

-Femi Branch expresses his disgust at the return of trucks to Eko Bridge

– The actor accuses the Lagos State government of negligence of the congestion on the Bridge and the menace it poses.

It was surprising to several Lagosians moreso, many Nigerians when it was learnt that the Eko Bridge has been cleared off trucks in anticipation of Buhari’s arrival for APC Presidential campaign that was held in Lagos only few days ago.

Trailers and trucks regularly positioned on the bridge were removed ahead of President Muhammad Buhari’s visit drawing reactions from several Twitters users who felt that the government of Ambode, Lagos State Governor, have been insensitive to pleas from the general public in recent years on the dangers that these trucks pose on the said Bridge.

@Iamilemona tweeted: “The tankers that have been on Eko Bridge and Ikorodu road and Ikorodu road have only been cleared on two occasions in more than 1 year. For the Lagos Marathon and for Buhari’s visit on Saturday. These people can solve problems. They don’t just rate you”

This upheaval of trucks from the bridge brought peace and happiness to residents of Lagos not until the recent return of the trucks after the departure of Buhari. Femi Branch seems to have had enough of the menace as he took to his Instagram page to reveal his displeasure at the return of the trucks.

Femi Branch said that he was sure that the Government were not oblivious of the threat that the presence of the trucks on the bridge pose to road users.

“Will the powers that be deny knowing of this menace?! Of how many lives have been lost already thanks to their negligence and care-free attitude?!”

He went on to question the role of Dangote in the situation citing that it was Dangote who had the highest composition of the trucks lined up on the bridge

“What is Dangote’s role in this as I noticed a whole bunch of the Trucks are his?”, “Is it that the richest black man alive cannot afford to build Trailer Parks for his Trucks?!”

iDONSABI.com earlier reported that Femi Branch revealed that he became an actor against his father’s wish and that his father originally wanted a lawyer son.
