  • Says Buhari, Tinubu and other APC chieftains must be the first victims of the Bill.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode is ready to support the hate speech bill.

But he has certain conditions listed to give the bill his support.

According to his latest tweet on his Twitter page, the first victims of the Bill must be President Muhammadu Buhari, Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Kaduna Governor, Nasir el-Rufa’i, Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

“I will support the Hate Speech Bill if its provisions are made retroactive & if its first victims are Buhari, Bola Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, Nasir El Rufai, Festus Keyamo & Rotimi Amaechi. Promise to hang them first for their hateful words over the years & the Bill gets my support,” he tweeted.

The Bill proposed by the Chief Whip of the Senate, Sabi Abdullahi has received a lot of criticisms. This had forced the lawmaker to review the death penalty stated in the provision after it passed through the first reading on the floor of the Senate.
