Former Min. of Finance urges Nigerians to patronize local producers to spur the economy

– Former Min. for Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has urged citizens to patronize Nigerian made to help spur the economy

– She affirmed that these are difficult times for the country

Following the fall in the value of Naira to dollars and the drop the price of crude oil, which happens to be Nigeria main source of income, the economy of the country had become harsh with the standard of living going high.

The Federal Government however made some moves to reduce the harshness to some extent, which include venturing into Agriculture in other to not only provide for the country but to also serve as a means of foreign exchange and to move the country from been a mono economy to a diversified economy.

Also, the Government in a bid to make the economy better moved for means to promote Nigerian made goods and services as against the previous over reliance on foreign commodities.

In a show of support, Nigerian Former Min. For Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala in a statement affirmed that the country is going through a difficult time.

She however disclosed that one of the ways to help spur back the economy was to eat, wear and buy Nigerian made products.

The Former Min. disclosed she also patronized Nigerian made.

Ngozi Okonjo Iweala in a statement said, “These are difficult times no doubt about it. However and whatever we feel still good to eat, wear and buy Nigerian as much as we can to help spur the economy. At home enjoying delicious O&B kilishi and peanuts oandb_foods.

She was the Min. of Finance during the tenure of former Pres. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for two terms and was preceded by Kemi Adeosun following the victory of Pres. Muhammadu Buhari.
