Former Tottenham Player Suggests Eriksen Could Be A Star For Bayern Munich

Ex-Tottenham star, Steffen Freund is of the opinion that Bayern Munich could make use of a player in the shape of Eriksen.

Eriksen who has failed to hold down a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s team this term has on multiple occasions be linked with a move away from the White Hart Lane.

The ex-Spurs star has now suggested that the Denmark International would shine at the Allianz Arena if his time with the Lilywhites is winding up.

The Dane missed Spurs 1-1 draw with Watford with a dead leg and hasn’t featured for Mauricio Po8side regularly this campaign with Spurs wallowing in seventh position on the Premier League standings.

The playmaker is expected to play a part in Spurs’ Champions League encounter with Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday as the North London club looks to bounce back from a 7-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich.

With the midfielder’s contract set to expire at the close of the season, speculations surrounding him has been rife to say the least.

Freund says that Eriksen is a core part of the team despite the presence of attacking threats in Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane.

His outstanding quality which Freund must have been trying to point out was further highlighted by Eriksen’s outstanding assist for Yussuf Poulsen in Denmark’s 1-0 win over Switzerland in Euro 2020 qualification this month.

“Sure, Eriksen makes the difference for Tottenham. This is one of the reasons why Tottenham are struggling at the moment,” the ex-Tottenham star told Omnisport, speaking courtesy of the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour, driven by the new Nissan Juke.

“He was a difference-maker for them. Yes, they have Kane and Son, but Christian Eriksen with his free-kicks, maybe you saw his assist against Switzerland – he is on the sideline, looks one way but sees Poulsen on the other side and plays a perfect no-look pass.

“He has incredible quality. And Bayern can use this quality any time.”
