Four People Killed And Eight Injured In Car Accident Along Dass Road

The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed on Sunday, that about four people have died while eight others were seriously injured in a fatal auto crash along Dass road in Bauchi state on 19th January 2019.

The Deputy Commandant Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Bauchi State Command identified as Mr Paul Goar informed different sources in Bauchi state that the fatal accident that took the lived of four people and injured eight people happened after the tyre of a Sharon car exploded and had a head on-collision with a Hilux van heading to the Dass road in Bauchi state.

Mr Paul Goar, the Deputy Commandant Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi state Command said in a statement that:

“We were alerted immediately by good Samaritans when the accident occurred for rescue and we took the survivors to the hospital for quick medical attention while the corpses were deposited at ATBU Teaching Hospital mortuary,”

The Deputy Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) further went on to warn that Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) RSC will no longer condone the use of second-hand tyre in the country from this moment in time because it is very risky as people are driving on the expressway.

Mr Paul Goar, the deputy commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps also added that the fatal accident which killed four people and injured eight people would have been duly prevented and avoided if the drivers of the vehicles have fully made use of the FRSC awareness campaign which fights against the use of fake tyres by drives on the expressway.

Mr Paul Goar warned the private and commercial drivers henceforth, that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will deal decisively with road users that fail to adhere to the law about making use of fake spare tyres and spare parts.
