Fuel Hike: Stop Coming to My Profile to Beg for Money, Reno Omokri Tells Followers

The followers of Reno Omokri might have lost a source of livelihood after failing to protest the increment in the price of fuel.

Omokri, who was the former media aide of former president Goodluck Jonathan is reacting to the new fuel price and the ongoing reality TV show Big Brother Naija.

A disqualified housemate received donations from her fans after being ousted from the after going against the rule.

“Please stop coming to my profile to beg for money. Instead of begging, go and start a fundraiser. Nigerians donated $15,000 to #BBNaija’s Erica in 5 hours. Nigerians have not protested fuel price hike to ₦162. Translation: Nigerians are not poor!,” he wrote.

Although many have condemned the new increment, the Presidency has defended the action. It said that the previous administration lacked the courage to take the right decision by deregulating the downstream sector.
