– Jonathan stated that Chief E.K Clark is a blessing to the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole 

One of Nigeria’s elder statesmen and Ijaw leader, Chief E.K Clark turned 92 on Saturday.

Top Nigerians political leaders have taken to various media to celebrate Clark on his birthday.

One of the messages was from Former Pres. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who stated that Chief E.K Clark is a blessing to Nigeria and the Niger Delta.

Goodluck Jonathan in a statement via his verified Twitter handle stated that Chief E.K Clark made significant contributions to the growth and development of the country while he served the nation as a regional and federal commissioner in different political dispensations.

The former President in his Tweet wrote, “I join the family members and other well-wishers of Chief E. K. Clark to congratulate the elder statesman on his 92nd birthday.

“I am grateful to God for blessing Nigeria and the Niger Delta with someone like you.

“You made significant contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development while serving the nation as a regional and federal commissioner in different political dispensations and you have continued to serve her as a foremost leader and statesman.”

Also the outgoing Senate President, Bukola Saraki in a statement via his Twitter handle celebrated Chief E.K Clark as he turned 92.

Chief E.K Clark is one of the respectable politicians and also one of the outspoken statement from the Niger Delta, he served as the Min. for Information during the time of General Yakubu Gowon.

A tertiary institution is named after Chief E.K Clark known as Edwin Clark University.
