Genevieve Nnaji Joins List Of Oscar Academy Membership
Genevieve Nnaji has joined the list of people to become a member of the Oscar Academy.
The actress is among the 819 members invited by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to join The Academy’s membership class.
The invitees, who are artists and executives were selected from 68 countries for their immense contribution to film making.
From Nigeria, Genevieve Nnaji and Akin Omotoso were chosen.
Other names on the list include Eva Longoria, John David Washington, Zendaya, Cynthia Erivo, Bernie Taupin, Matthew A. Cherry, Florence Pugh and more.
Members of the 2020 class if they accept the invite will be allowed voting privileges at the upcoming Oscars.
Reacting to the invite, Genevieve tweeted; “I’m honored to be a member of the family. Thank you @TheAcademy !!”
