‘Glee’ Actress Naya Rivera Presumed Dead After Going Missing While Boating With Son
Glee star, Naya Rivera is missing and presumed dead in a Southern California lake, officials report, after her 4-year-old son was found floating alone on their rented boat on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed late Wednesday that a “possible drowning victim” at Lake Piru was Naya Rivera, 33.
The sheriff’s office tweeted that the search-and-rescue mission for Rivera had been suspended and would “continue at first light” on Thursday.
“There’s no evidence of foul play at this point.This may well be a case of drowning,” Capt. Eric Buschow, a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, said at a news conference.

Buschow said her 4-year-old son was found sleeping on the boat by himself by other boaters in the lake.
“He’s in good health. The family is going through a very traumatic time right now,” he said.
