Gov. Okowa appoints Ebie as SSG

– Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has appointed Chiedu Ebie as the SSG 

– Apart from Ebie, two people have also been given new appointments

According to a report, Delta state Gov., Ifeanyi Okowa has appointed Chiedu Ebie as the new Secretary to the State Government.

Chiedu Ebie was the Primary and Secondary School Education Commissioner in the immediate past Executive Council in Delta state.

The report hinted that Chiedu Ebie who is also a lawyer happens to be one of the three first appointments made by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa barely 48 hours after being inaugurated for a second term as Delta State Governor.

According to the reports, other names the governor announced in his statement via the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr. Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, include Olorogun David Edevbie as the new Chief of Staff and Mr. Funkekeme Solomon as the new Senior Political Adviser.

Like Chiedu Ebie, the new Chief of Staff, Olorogun David Edevbie served as the immediate past state finance commissioner while Funkekeme Solomon served as the state Peoples Democratic Party PDP 2019 campaign director-general, and was a state lawmaker and commissioner under the Uduaghan administration.

According to Mr. Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, the new appointments take effect immediately.

The report also made it known that the new appointments made by Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa was made from three different senatorial districts in the state; Ebie, Edevbie and Solomon are from Delta North, Delta Central and Delta South senatorial districts, respectively.

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa has been given the mandate to managed the affairs of Delta state for a second time having won the 2019 Governorship election and he has been inaugurated as stipulated by the law.

His new executive body is to be formed after it was dissolved a week before he was sworn in on May 29th.
