Nigerian player Nura Abdullahi, who plays for Roma football club has announced his decision to retire from football due to medical condition.
The 21-year-old has not played a competitive game since February 2018 when he turned out for Perugia in Serie B. He was advised last year by Roma to stay away from football for 30-days.
Abdullahi joined Roma on loan from Spezia in 2015, before signing a permanent contract in 2016.
In 2017, Abdullahi extended his contract for 4 years. He was shipped out on loan to Perugia at the beginning of this season.
According to reports, talks are ongoing between the player and club to cancel his playing contract and offer him a coaching role at the club.
