Heavy Rainfall In Onitsha Kills Young Lady
A heavy rainfall which happened on Thursday, January 24th, in Onitsha area of Anambra State has resulted in the untimely death of a yet to be identified, young lady.
Series of report has it that the dead yet to be identified young lady was swept away by the heavy rain and her corpse was later found by a rescue team afterwards.
The residents who live within that area in Onitsha, Anambra state, are blaming the State government for the bad road at Ochanja area, Anambra state, where the incident happened as they say the bad road at Ochanja area, Onitsha, has done more harm than good to the people of Onitsha since the past decade in the State.

The residents of Ochanja area, Onitsha, Anambra State, are further calling on the Anambra state government to come and save them from dilapidated roads by fixing the bad roads which can cause a life to be lost like this one that just occurred on Thursday in the state.
A Facebook user identified to be Candy Blanche wrote this;
This always happens yearly, pls if u don’t know ochanja very well, especially the gutters pls stay anywhere you’re once it starts raining heavily cos it kills people yearly,the rain even destroy shops, cars and keke cos wen u see gutter u won’t know it been covered by water and u will put leg. rip dear.
This kind of death is very much a preventable one and the fault all but goes to the Anambra state government, as their inability to heed to the cries of the residents of Ochanja area of Onitsha, Anambra state, has led to the death of this unidentified young lady.
Residents of Ochanja area are now using this latest death occurrence to remind the Anambra state government that they have a lot of unfinished business within that area.
