Herdsmen Invade Delta State Community, Kills 2 And Injures 4 Others
Two local farmers have been found dead and four others seriously injured at Ndemili, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, following the invasion of the community’s farmlands by rampaging herdsmen in the state.
iDONSABI gathers from close sources that the deceased, whose bodies were discovered at about 4p.m. on Wednesday, were among the 3 persons that were declared missing the previous day (Tuesday) after some indigenes of the community were attacked by the herdsmen who were armed.
A reliable source in Delta state, who craved anonymity, stated that the herdsmen came into the Delta state’s community a few days ago.
However, the indigenes of the community entered the bush in order to inform them to leave their community.
The herdsmen who were armed, then in one way or the other, got information that the people were coming into the bush and they shot at them.

Confirming the incident on Thursday, February 14th, was the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command identified as Mr. Andrew Aniamaka. He stated that there was a distress call from a lady informing the Police that three persons were missing.
Aniamaka said:
“Earlier on, the people had instructed the herdsmen to leave their community. The herdsmen did not take this lightly and attacked the people. “The Police, led by the Divisional Police Officer of Kwale Division and members of the community’s vigilance team went into the bush with a view to rescuing the missing persons and apprehending the suspects.”
Aniamaka also stressed that the bodies of two of the missing persons were discovered, while the whereabouts of the other missing persons was still unknown.
Aniamaka concluded by saying:
“As we speak, the Police are still combing the bush to rescue him, but apparently the herdsmen have fled the bush.”
