How Gov. Makinde intends to use Agriculture to develop Oyo

– Gov. Seyi Makinde has disclosed his plans to leverage on Agriculture to develop Oyo State in the next four years

– The Governor disclosed that special attention will be given to Agricultural sector in his administration

According to a latest report, the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has disclosed his plans on how his administration intends to develop the state.

The Governor in his statement at a wedding in Eruwa area of Oyo state disclosed that his administration will focus on the Agriculture sector.

He said he would the farm settlements and leverage on and also leverage on the Agriculture value change to turnaround the state.

Gov. Seyi Makinde in a statement via his Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa disclosed that his administration plans to use Agriculturee as a point of contact for development.

The Governor in his statement said: “For accelerated development of Oyo State in the next four years, we intend to use agriculture as a point of contact.

“Special attention will also be given to Ibarapaland. I can see that there is a Farm Settlement in this place. It’s about 5, 800 hectares of land. We will revive it we will give special attention to reviving the farm settlements.”

The governor added that his government will also take full advantage of the agricultural value chain in order to bring desired benefits to the government and the people.

In another report, Gov. Seyi Makinde has made a bold decision to let go of his immunity if it his administration is called to questioning.

Following his takeover from former Gov. Ajimobi some few weeks back, Gov. Seyi Makinde had placed a ban on the activities of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW in Oyo state, which has been applauded by Nigerians.
