– Rotimi Amaechi acknowledges there is hunger in the country as he says he is hungry too

– He, however, fingers the PDP as the reason behind the hunger

– The former Rivers Gov. said that the PDP was hungry which is why they want to return to power

Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister for Transportation and Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organization has reached out to Nigerians complaining of the incessant hunger in the country.

The minister said he is also hungry and also bears the same pain with the populace.

He went on to declare that the Peoples Democratic Party was the reason behind the hunger in the country as he urged Nigerians to questioned the PDP on how they managed the country purse during their 16 years administration when the price of crude oil was high.

Rotimi Amaechi in a campaign rally for President Buhari re-election in Bauchi on Saturday made it known that the PDP were hungry and broke which is why they want to come back to power.

The Former Rivers Governor in a statement quoted by Punch said,

Amaechi said, “I was speaking to my friend from the other divide and he said you are hungry, I said ‘yes, if they did not steal the money they stole, you would have had enough food.’

“The money they stole is what is making me hungry. Tell them,  to bring the money.

“The PDP stole $2bn to prosecute 2015 elections but we still defeated them. They are broke, they are hungry and they want to come back to steal.”

” The PDP members know that they are broke and because of that, they are looking for cheap source of funds.

“When they say there is no food, they want to steal money and they cannot do that because the President has said that public money is not for any individual.”
