Ibrahim El-Zakzaky Whisked Away By DSS Operatives On Arrival At Airport

Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria has touched down at the Nnamdi Azikwe Inernational Airport in Abuja barely three days after making way with his wife to India for medical treatment.

However, he was immediately taken into custody by operatives of the DSS (Department of State Services) who immediately whisked him away on arrival at the airport.

The Islamic leader who left for India alongside his wife for medical treatment allegedly aborted his treatment on alleged refusal of the management of Medenta hospital, New Delhi, India to allow his preferred doctors treat him.

El-Zakzaky in a video released on Thursday said he was forced to choose between returning to Nigeria and having his treatment at the Indian hospital, stating that he was still having discussions with his wife over their listed options before unnamed officials returned to tell him to prepare for home.

The sect leader also stressed that he wasn’t allowed freedom in the hospital as he was placed under tight security and not even allowed to move from room to room.

He accused the US and Nigeria governments of trying to frustrate his medical treatment in far away India.
