Ibrahimovic Rejoins AC Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made a sensational return to the San Siro, from where he would be representing AC Milan till the end of the current campaign.

The 38-year-old has finally agreed to terms with the Rossoneris and has an option to further extend the contract by another season.

The Swede spent two years at the San Siro, scoring 56 goals in 85 appearances and helping them to a Serie A title win in 2011.

Now, he’s pitched his tent once again with a Rossoneri team that is struggling to meet a top-half finish. Having played 17 games, AC Milan are still left wallowing in 11th position.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic remained a prolific striker after leaving AC Milan, enjoying goalscoring spells in Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United as well as LA Galaxy in the MLS.

“I’m coming back to a club I hugely respect and to the city of Milan which I love,” Ibrahimovic said.

“I’ll fight together with my teammates to change the course of this season. I will do everything to make it happen”.

He will be taking a trip to Italy capital, Milan on January 2 to undergo his medicals before resuming training at the training complex. It is expected that a press conference is organized to reveal the full details of the contract once the deal is finalized.

The former Swede International had been linked with a number of clubs all across Europe following the expiration of his contract with LA Galaxy. It was also suggested that he could move with former manager, Carlo Ancelotti to Merseyside club, Everton.

The prolific striker will be looking to make an immediate impact at the struggling club. Krzysztof Piatek and left-back Theo Hernandez are AC Milan’s current top scorers with 4 goals apiece and Ibrahimovic could fancy his chances of helping their goal tally as well as getting himself on the scoresheet as well.
