Imo: It’s A Victory for Democracy, Omo-Agege Congratulates Uzodinma

The Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege has joined others in reacting to the ruling of the Supreme Court on the Imo state governorship election appeal won by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hope Uzodinma.

Congratulating the governor-elect, Omo-Agege described the development as a victory for democracy.

While stating that this also affirmed that the Judiciary remains the last hope of the common man, the Deputy Senate President said light will always prevail over darkness, no matter how long it takes.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, the Senate Deputy President, joined millions of Nigerians in congratulating the former lawmaker on what he described as well-deserved electoral victory at the apex court.

“Your victory and that of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) is a clear indication that no matter how long it takes, the light will always prevail over darkness.

“By reclaiming Imo State, I am optimistic that our party, the APC, will clinch more states not only in the South-East geopolitical zone but also in the South-South in 2023. governorship elections”.

While commending Uzodinma for his steadfastness and resolute belief in the judiciary, he charged him to be focused on taking Imo State to the next level of economic prosperity in line with President Muhammadu Buhari administration’s agenda.
