Imo State Doesn’t Deserve This Nonsense’, Fani-Kayode, Others React to Supreme Court Ruling
Former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the recent Supreme Court judgment that nullified the election of Governor Emeka Ihedioha and declared Hope Uzodinma winner of the March 9 poll.
From the judgment, Uzodinma polled 236,600 votes from 318 Polling Units spread across the State which were wrongfully excluded during collation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
So, the Supreme Court gave him back the PUs, total votes which surpassed that of Ihedioha.
Fani-Kayode who is a staunch critic of the federal government described the ruling that declared Uzodinma who was fourth in the election winner as rubbish.

“Would someone please explain to me how a candidate that came 4th in the election suddenly became the winner? The Supreme Court has a lot of explaining to do! The people of Imo did not deserve this nonsense!,” he tweeted.
Also reacting to the judgment, Deji Adeyanju, a human rights activist wondered how the senior lawyers would explain the judgment to the junior ones.
“IMO Gubernatorial election results 2019
PDP: Emeka Ihedioha 273,404
AA : Uche Nwosu 190,364
APGA: Ifeanyi Araraume 114,676
APC: Hope Uzodinma 96,458
YPP: Ikedi Ohakim 527.
How do you explain what the Supreme Court just did to Law Students, Law teachers & Junior Lawyers?”

On his part, Dr. Joe Abah said the legislature has the power to change unfavourable laws.
“Congratulations to Hope Uzodinma on being declared Governor of Imo State by the Supreme Court. As I always insist, the Rule of Law must prevail, no matter who the current law favours, or else we will have anarchy. Any law we don’t like, we should change it and then abide by it.”

The first thing Udozima needs to do is to ensure all the statues Ihedioha brought down as revenge should be moved into his compound so that he can eat them.

2015: He predicted incumbent President Jonathan’s defeat. ☑️
2019: He predicted Atiku and Obi’s defeat in front of Peter Obi. ☑️
2020: He predicted incumbent Governor Ihedioha’s ouster. ☑️
2015 & 2020 predictions looked almost impossible, yet …

I feel no pity for @OfficialPDPNig nor Ihedioha. The PDP should go learn how to play opposition politics from @YeleSowore . Opposition politics is not what you play in your elute comfort, if you can’t put blood and urine into it, go home!

After Emeka Ihedioha was sworn-in as the Governor of Imo State, he dedicated every resources at his disposal to persecute his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha. As faith would have it, the supreme Court removed him today.
Lesson to be learnt here; Be Humble. Power is transient!

The people that relocated to Owerri to start a new career and life. Someone picked up his appointment letter as DG of an Agency just yesterday. They are the ones I’m feeling for. The big shots will be fine. But those who built their ‘hope’ on Ihedioha.
Ndo nu.

Ihedioha has been removed by the Supreme Court. Okay, cool. But I need explanation as to why they skipped the next two and made Hope Uzodinma Gov elect. Does anyone know? pic.twitter.com/yXoS1I2vpo

If Emeka Ihedioha gave you a contract and you borrowed money from the bank to finance it, brace yourself, you might be in for a very long thing.
This is one of the issues with doing business in a frontier market or an emerging economy where politics determine everything.

This Imo SC unanimous judgement is an indictment on @inecnigeria. How Inec misappropriated 236,600 votes belonging to Hope & allowed Ihedioha have a higher vote count is disingenuous & should be subject of a criminal investigation against rouge Inec staff who tampered with votes pic.twitter.com/jko72TiRUB
