Nigerian former Min. for Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has slammed former Jigawa state Gov. Sule Lamido for criticising former Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo over his statement on the Islamization of Nigeria and West Africa.

Former Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday released a statement lamenting the current situation in the country especially the deadly activities of Boko Haram and Herdsmen.

The former Pres. hinted that the problem has grown beyond Nigeria as there are plans to Islamize Nigeria and West Africa.

However, in a response, Sule Lamido criticised Olusegun Obasanjo on his statement, he urged the former president to take back his words and stop being a big.

Femi Fani Kayode in his statement went ahead to call out the former Jigawa Governor as he said only those who support the Islamization of the country would criticize Obasanjo.

He went ahead to applaud Obasanjo for speaking out on the issue.

Femi Fani Kayode said, ”I hear one or two people, like Sule Lamido, are not too happy with what OBJ said and have called him out for saying it. That is sad and unfortunate because Obasanjo has done more for the core North, Lamido’s Fulani tribe and Nigerian unity than any other former president or head of state in our history.

“He also fought in a civil war to keep the country together. For anybody from the core North to call him names for speaking the truth and baring his mind over what is unfolding in Nigeria today, it tells you how blinded by power, insensitive and callous some of these people are.

”It is only those that subscribe to the Fulanisation and Islamisation agenda that will criticise or oppose Obasanjo’s observation and describe him as a ‘bigot’ for making them.”
