The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika in Asaba, Delta state capital on Friday evening also congratulated Justice Bulkachuwa on her retirement from service — having attained the mandatory age of 70 years.

“As you go into retirement, I urge you to bring the lessons of the years past to bear on your future activities. It is to your credit that access to justice has improved in Nigeria with the creation of additional Courts of Appeal,” Okowa said.

Bulkachuwa was forced to withdraw from the appeal of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar after him and his party said she might be partial in judging the case because her husband is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.

He eventually lost the case to contest the reelection of President Muhammadu Buahri.
