Jayeola Congratulates Oyetola, APC Leaders Over Supreme Court Verdict

  • Lawmaker says stakeholders were vibrant despite the campaign of calumny by the opposition.
  • Felicitates with Oyetola, the APC and people of Osun state.

The lawmaker representing Ila Constituency in the Osun State Assembly, Jayeola Lateef Adebisi has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola over his victory at Supreme Court over the September 2018 governorship election.

The appeal of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and its candidate,  Ademola Adeleke was dismissed on the ground that the absence of the judge who read the majority decision of the election tribunal, Justice Peter Obiorah on one of the hearings renders the entire proceedings a nullity.

Jayeola who felicitated with the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and the country at large over the judgement of the Supreme Court added that the good people of Osun especially, Ila Constituency are very happy that their mandate was protected by the appellate court.

He further stated that the people are pleased with the verdict of the Supreme Court as it is an affirmation of the earlier judgement delivered by the Appeal Court.

The lawmaker also commended the Supreme Court panel for the bravery and uprightness displayed in the face of intimidation and campaign of calumny earlier embarked upon by the opposition party to get a favourable judgement from the apex court.

Adebisi also lauded the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  Chief Bisi Akande and Rauf Aregbesola, the party state chairman, Gboyega Famodun for been resilient throughout the course of the judgement.

While also commending the legal team of the APC, Oyetola and INEC, he described them as vibrant and learned individuals.
