Jeff Bezos Shares Profane Email From Customer Angry About His Support For Black Lives Matter
Amazon founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos has shared a blasphemy email he received from an angry customer on Instagram. Reacting to the profanity-laced email, Bezos said the man was the “type of customer I’m happy to lose”.
The email, sent to the billionaire by a man named Dave, criticized him for his support of the Black Lives Matter movement. This is coming after Amazon pledged their support for the Black community via the website.
“You’re obviously not an idiot or you wouldn’t have the financial success you have had,” wrote Dave, whose last name was redacted by Bezos.
“I was placing an order with your company when I discovered your statement of support for the Black Lives Matter. I have canceled my order and I know that I will not be alone. “
Reacting to this, Jeff Bezos wrote;
“There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post. This sort of hate shouldn’t be allowed to hide in the shadows. It’s important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem. And, Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.“
Bezos and other Amazon executives have been vocal with their support of the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
In a May 30 via an Instagram post, Bezos wrote: “The pain and emotional trauma caused by the racism and violence we are witnessing toward the black community has a long reach.”
