JUST IN – Woman Stabbed In A Polling Unit In Osun State

A woman has been stabbed at a polling station in Osun state, on Saturday, February 23rd, following a fight she had with another lady at the polling station in Osun State.

The tragic incident which saw a lady stabbing a woman took place at the Lagere area of Ile-Ife in Osun state on the Presidential Election Day in Nigeria.

The woman whose name could not be identified as at the time of filing this report was stabbed by another voter while on the queue and after the fight had been made.

iDONSABI gathers that the fight had occurred over who was and who wasn’t on the queue in which both of them were standing on at that time.

However, while the fight became intense between both of the individuals, the victim was allegedly stabbed in the face with a bottle by the other lady.

While reacting to the incident, AIG Adeleye Oyebade who is in charge of Zone 11 in Osun, stressed that the lady who stabbed the victim has been apprehended and will be taken to the Police station.

Meanwhile, AIG Adeleye Oyebade also added that the situation is not one to be extremely worried about and that everything is presently under control at the polling unit in Osun state.
